About the Event
This workshop will create a shared space to honour our grief through writing. We will have tissues and comforts available. We will open by hearing Smokii Sumac discuss the CBC series How to Lose Everything, and how the series creator Christa Couture calls on us to tell our own grief stories. We will have space and time to grieve and write (or simply be with our grief and trust the writing will come later on), and we will close with space and time to honour the things that help us on difficult "days like these" (from Sumac's poem/animation titled there are hierarchies of grief).
Please bring something to write with (preferably notebook or paper/pencils, however, if you write better on technology, please ensure you have do not disturb turned on). Please note that we won't be able to use pens or markers in the workshop space (pencils only).
