Writers Cubed: Writers Writing About Writing

A thought-provoking evening held in partnership with the Nelson Public Library. This will be a multi-author reading from the works of Leesa Dean, Anne DeGrace, Ernest Hekkanen, Irene Mock, Fred Wah, and Tom Wayman, followed by a panel discussion in which Leesa Dean, Anne DeGrace, Fred Wah, and Tom Wayman reflect on the past, present, and future of Nelson’s writing scene.

Selkirk College Creative Writing instructor and author Leesa Dean is co-founder of the West

Kootenay’s only literary magazine, The Black Bear Review, an important platform for

emerging writers.  

Anne DeGrace is the author of four novels,and has been involved in literary programming and mentorship for decades.
