Workshop: Language and Performance, with Tony Louie

This workshop will guide you through the different perspectives that languages bring to writing, and how they shape the lens in which you write. We will also be learning some introductory nselxcin that is native to the land we will be working on and will pay homage to those that have spoken before us.

Tony Louie is a singer/songwriter from Inchelium WA, on the Colville Indian Reservation. He proudly represents the Sinixt and Methow band of his peoples. Along with being an award winning musician, Tony is also a decorated poet and spoken word performer.
