Blue Pencil critique sessions provide writers with honest feedback and encouragement through one-on-one consultations on pre-submitted writing. Once registered you’ll be invited to submit a one-page description of your project and any questions you may have, along with your writing (up to 2500 words or 5 poems), so that you can get maximum impact from your personal session with a talented literary professional. You must submit your work by September 8th, 2023. Deryn Collier is the author of The Bern Fortin novels Confined Space and Open Secret. Originally from Montreal, she is a graduate of McGill University. After a very short career as a federal bureaucrat she ran away to the mountains of British Columbia where she has been for over twenty years. She lives in Nelson, BC with her husband, sons and cats. A Real Somebody is a smart, charming postwar historical novel based on the true story of an aspiring writer who dares to dream big.
