Service Description

Blue Pencil critique sessions provide writers with honest feedback and encouragement through one-on-one consultations on pre-submitted writing. Once registered you’ll be invited to submit a one-page description of your project and any questions you may have, along with your writing (up to 2500 words or 5 poems), so that you can get maximum impact from your personal session with a talented literary professional. You must submit your work by September 8th, 2023. Sonnet L'Abbé is a Canadian poet, performer, editor, and professor. They are the author of A Strange Relief, Killarnoe, Anima Canadensis and Sonnet's Shakespeare. They teach Creative Writing and English at Vancouver Island University, and are a poetry editor at Brick Books. They had their first solo performance of songs and poems at Nanaimo’s Port Theatre in 2021.
