Anne DeGrace is the author of four novels, originally published by McArthur & Company and later Cormorant Books: Treading Water, Wind Tails, Sounding Line, and Flying with Amelia. Her short stories have appeared in Canadian literary journals, and she has been a freelance writer for newspapers and magazines for more than three decades. She has also illustrated several books for young people. In 2020 Anne retired after a 32-year public library career and founded a micro-publishing company, Ceriph Press, through which she also offers substantive manuscript editing, as well as mentorship for emerging writers. Two manuscripts that she edited were published by Caitlin Press this past year: Vera Maloff’s memoir Our Backs Warmed by the Sun, and EMLF presenter Pat Henman’s memoir Beyond the Legal Limit.
